SASO Notice on Temporary Update of Personal Protective Equipment Standards
The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) has announced that the Technical Regulation for Personal Protective Equipment and Clothing (PPE) is now entering an update phase. This interim notice specifies that, in addition to the existing standards listed in the regulation's annex, products may also be certified based on test reports issued in accordance with the standards listed below, provided that the conformity assessment procedures comply with the requirements set forth in the Technical Regulation. A valid Certificate of Conformity may be issued for products within the scope of this regulation.
Please note that this is an interim notice. It shall remain valid until the SASO Technical Regulation for Personal Protective Equipment and Clothing (PPE) is fully updated or until SASO issues another notification regarding the SASO PPE Technical Regulation.
